Description

Don’t miss our April Go Green Business Breakfast at Spike Island, the remarkable former Brooke Bond tea packing factory, now a vibrant and creative hub for contemporary art and design.

Discover ways to identify energy and resource efficiency issues in buildings and take the first steps to improving them.

Go on a journey with Spike Island as they reveal the fascinating history of the building and how they are on the cusp of a remarkable project to future proof their organisation.

Be inspired by examples of local collaboration driving energy efficiency initiatives amongst Harbourside organisations.

Take away practical information on improving building performance and rethink your approach to waste and resources on the path to a greener business.

Enjoy a breakfast of tea, coffee and delicious freshly baked pastries and buns from Spike Island’s cafe, run by the award-winning Folk House Cafe.

Meet other Go Green members and like-minded people in an inspiring venue. You’ll also be able to enjoy some art in the Spike Island gallery at the same time!
About the Speakers

Lhosa Daly, Deputy Director at Spike Island will be taking us through the journey of Spike Island from a tea packing factory to a creative and vibrant arts hub, including the process of fundraising and their exciting new plans for Spike Island.

Brady George, Managing Director of Almeda talks to us about how facilities management can change the way we view and use our built environment and support the buildings to become more sustainable which in turn support our businesses.

Of course, we will also have the famously entertaining 60-second pitches from stallholders.
