If you ask small business owners what one of their main challenges is, its getting access to finance. In this session, with the help of our four local finance experts, we are going to explore the different ways that you may be able to access finance to support your business growth.
We have chosen the date of this event to run after the Chancellor has announced his Budget for the new tax year. With this in mind our very own tax accountant, Phil Jones, will kick off by taking us through the highlights and surprises of the new budget and the implications for small business owners.
We will then move into the session looking at the different finance options available for small businesses. We are fortunate to have a specialist from local HSBC business banking who works with micro and small businesses, a business coach that is qualified in delivering the Government’s Business Growth Service for SMEs and a representative from a local crowd funding organisation.
Each panellist will talk to us for 10 minutes about how they can help business owners to access finance. This will then be followed by an open Q&A session (facilitated by Phil Jones) for which you are invited to put forward your questions in advance.
Funding from the bank – Lauren Evans, Business Specialist, HSBC Commercial
Funding from UK Government – Roger Wilkins, Director and Business Coach, Cool Ventures
Funding from Crowd funding – TBC
