Mathew Spence approached NBV (part of the Nwes Group) in August 2015. He had extensive experience in plumbing, heating, fabrication and welding and wanted to capitalise on his experience by launching his own renewable plumbing company.
Although Mathew had a unique idea, he wanted training and advice to know exactly how to start it up, market it and make it a success.
From the outset, he was provided with tailored advice from his dedicated ast Midlands advisor David Hallam, who helped develop his ideas into a cogent business plan.
Tailored support provided Mathew with the help he needed to write a compelling business plan, taking into account traditional and modern marketing and advertising strategies, including social media.
Mathew is now starting to trade as Taylor Made Plumbing, and is confident that he can make his fledgling business a success. Together with the ongoing mentoring support he is receiving from the Nwes Group, Mathew has firm plans to win numerous building contracts and install his own plumbing and bathroom systems.
He aims to employ around 10 employees as he builds the business, and his long term plan is to develop Taylor Made Plumbing into Taylor Homes, expanding from a plumbing business to a full construction company. He is grateful for the support and guidance he continues to receive from the Nwes Group and the Start & Grow Programme.
