Rebecca opens up a real Treat for everyone
To succeed you must be motivated in what you do. Look at problems as challenges, and follow your dream - even if others tell you otherwise Rebecca Geantry
Inspired by her Grandmother’s belief in complementary therapy, Rebecca Geanty has established a new clinic, which offers affordable complementary health care to suit the needs of her clients.
Treat is based in Capitol House on Norwich’s Heigham Street. At the heart of the centre is a multi-bed acupuncture clinic where Rebecca and her team can treat up to six people in the same space at the same time. This makes acupuncture more affordable for those who require regular treatment.
After encountering early obstacles, such as challenges with the lease and the challenge of staying in charge of fitting out the clinic for her needs, Rebecca stuck to her schedule and was determined to power through. The result is a lovely building and atmosphere to work in.
“It has been a dream to have my own clinic since qualifying in 2010.” Rebecca explains. “I wanted to provide a homely, positive environment for my patients, the people of Norwich and practitioners, and to build a community which empowers people to help themselves.”
Receiving continuing support under the Start & Grow programme, Rebecca is looking to the future and aims to have the clinic working to a nearly full capacity with a full team of practitioners within two years, whilst maintaining a calm, relaxed atmosphere for clients.
Rebecca has welcomed the business support and advice she has received from Nwes in order to make Treat a reality, particularly when it came to financial planning and understanding issues relating to employment law.
“To those who are starting a new business, I would advise seeking help and advice from professionals in the areas that you are not skilled in.” Rebecca says. “I have found the skills I am good at, such as marketing, but I really needed the help with contracts of employment and legal matters.”
Rebecca Geantry is a client of Nwes, delivering business support in the East of England.
Under the Start & Grow programme Rebecca received 15 hours of support and has created 3 jobs.
