27th January, 2014
Today sees the launch of the Government’s £30million Growth Vouchers scheme to support small businesses in purchasing the advice they need to maximise their business growth potential. Cavendish Consortium has been selected to be key delivery partners in this initiative offering nationwide coverage and local expertise.
Representatives from across the Cavendish Consortium have been at Number 10 Downing Street for the launch event today and the whole team is looking forward to delivering this opportunity to small and medium sized businesses across London, the East and the South East of England.
NWES and Enterprise First advisers will be out and about at business networking events across the region encouraging businesses to apply and then delivering the initial one-to-one assessments. Most eligible businesses will then receive a voucher for up to £2,000 match funding to purchase strategic advice from private sector suppliers in the Growth Vouchers marketplace.
Growth Vouchers are part of a Random Control Trial research initiative being run by Government until at least March 2015. The first research of this scope to be run in the UK, the project will inform future Government policies to ensure funding is targeted to achieve business growth. The Cavendish Consortium is proud to be delivering this scheme which places advice choice in the hands of business.
A business is eligible to apply for Growth Vouchers if:
It is based in England.
It has been trading for at least 12 months.
It has fewer than 50 employees.
It has had no paid-for strategic advice in the past 3 years.
To apply for Growth Vouchers visit www.gov.uk/apply-growth-vouchers . You will then be contacted by a member of our team to arrange a face-to-face assessment at one of our regional centres.
